This piece is from my 3D Design class. It is carved from 2 in. thick laminated styrofoam sheets. Green and blue marbles were used for the eyes. Artificial hair was used for the mane, beard, tail, and under-belly. The surface is covered with gesso and stone-textured spray-paint.
BACK STORY
The sculpture is a Dwarf Version of the Squelder featured in the Creatures artwork. So the story goes, the Dwarf Squelder is shorter and stouter than the original. The Dwarf also typically has more hair.
