This piece was done for my Sculpture IB class. The piece consists of 2 wooden Frogs and two wooden planks. The assignment was to create an interactive sculpture made mostly of wood. I had been wanting to make a frog in class, since my ex-wife liked little collectable frog things. So to meet the requirements I created 2 frogs and put handles on their backs. I then created a long plank out of particleboard to represent some kind of checkered game board for the pieces. Though I don't think there is really any way to play the game, the frogs can be picked up and moved around.
The two frogs were created with 2 x 4s, cut and screwed together and then sanded. I used watered-down acrylic paint to stain the frogs and thicker acrylic paint to make the small spots on the surface. Some of the spots serve to hide screw heads.
