- Original Version
  This piece is an oil painting done for my Painting II class. The assignment was to do a self-portrait that conveys a part of the student's personality. My goal was to try to express depression and melancholy, not only through the gesture of the subject, but also through color and brush strokes. Yes, the accent strokes are a litte silly.
  
  Warped Version
  This is the image I created by warping the original painting into what looks to me like more accurate proportions.
