This piece is an oil painting done for my Painting IIIB class. The assignment was to create a matching series for the semester. Because of my access to this abundant source material, I chose Neglected and Abused animals as the theme.
This poor emaciated horse had received such a lack of proper care that her hooves had grown out into the shape of elf shoes.
I later gave this painting to my mother who then had it framed. While re-photographing my paintings, I decided to include the frame for the website.
