This piece is an oil painting done for my Painting IIIB class. The assignment was to create a matching series for the semester. Because of my access to this abundant source material, I chose Neglected and Abused animals as the theme.
This unfortunate animal had a bad case of mange and instead of taking him to the Vet. the owners dumped him in the river where he was later picked up and given over to Animal Control.
