This piece is an oil painting done for my Painting III class. The assignment was to do a portrait of someone from a photograph in an outdoor setting. Since my ex-wife is extremely camera shy, a friend from work, named Crystal, volunteered. One of the goals was to create a sense of the daylight and time of day. Not one of my favorite paintings...
