This piece is an oil painting done for my Painting II class. The subject is a small red office clip and another peach pit. The assignment was to pick some simple and some complex objects and place them in a manner within the composition as to create a sense of action or tension. I tried for a sense of aggression in this piece. The assignment also continued the in-depth study of color and mood from the last painting. A great amount of attention, if not most of the attention, was paid to the layering of the background in this piece.
